Firefighters working to put out fires in Silwan
Firefighters are working to put out a number of fires in open areas in the east Jerusalem village of Silwan and the nearby Peace Forest. According to estimates, the fires were started during riots in the village.
The police have declared a heightened state of alert in east Jerusalem for fear of renewed disturbances after a Silwan resident was shot to death by an Israeli security guard. (Yair Altman)
