Livingstone vs. Johnson for mayor of London

Labour selected Ken Livingstone on Friday as their candidate to run against Boris Johnson to be the next Mayor of London, in a re-run of the last election.
Livingstone, who was mayor for eight years before being ousted in 2008 by the former Conservative MP, said he would fight against government spending cuts and push for lower public transport fares.
He would also look to restore the western extension of the London congestion charge, he said during his acceptance speech. (Reuters)
