Hamas Politburo Chief Khaled Mashaal called on Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to halt negotiations with Israel in light of the resumption of settlement construction.
"Netanyahu is not the man who can bring peace to the region," he said in an Arab Parliament conference in Damascus. (AFP)
