After talking with Syrian FM, Clinton calls Netanyahu
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton overnight after the latter had talk with Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moualem.
Spokesman Phillip Crowley described the conversation with Netanyahu as important, detailed, and direct, and added that the US understood the prime minister's "political difficulties". (Yitzhak Benhorin, Washington)
