Syrian President Bashar Assad advised his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad not to tour the area of south Lebanon during his visit to the country in two weeks, according to a report published Wednesday by Kuwaiti newspaper al- Anba.
According to diplomatic officials, Assad asked Ahamadinejad for the purpose of his visit, to which the Iranian leader replied, "it is a strategic area that is the border of Iran with Israel." (Roee Nahmias)
