Local rallies and marches are being held in Arab towns throughout the north in commemoration of the October riots, which occurred a decade ago. Families are visiting cemeteries to lay wreaths. Memorial ceremonies are being held in Nazareth and Umm al-Fahm.
Most of the towns have complied with calls made by the Higher Arab Monitoring Committee to go on a general strike on Friday. The main ceremony marking the passing of a decade will be held on Friday in Kfar Qana. (Sharon Roffe-Ofir)
