Mitchell: Israel, Palestinians want talks to continue
Israel and the Palestinians want to continue the negotiations and hope that the US will create the conditions for the continuation of direct dialogue, US envoy to the Middle East George Mitchell said in Cairo.
"Despite their differences, the Israeli government and the Palestinian Authority have asked us to continue these discussions to establish the conditions allowing them to continue direct negotiations," he said after a meeting with President Hosni Mubarak. (AFP)
