Central Vietnam braced for more rain Tuesday as the death toll from floods rose to 15 with ten others still missing, disaster officials and the government said.
Authorities have evacuated more than 34,000 people from their flooded homes in Ha Tinh and Quang Binh provinces. Hundreds of soldiers and militiamen were deployed to help people deal with the influx. Up to 51 inches (130 centimeters) of heavy rain fell in the region from Friday to Monday. (AP)
