Petah Tikva District Court rejected the submitted by late Prime Minister Yiztzhak Rabin's assassin, Yigal Amir, to ease the conditions of his imprisonment. It was ruled that it is fitting to deem him a "security prisoner and a target on warning." In addition, it was decided that he will continue to be prevented from praying with his brother Hagai.
The judges ruled, "There are no grounds to Amir's claims that he is discriminated against. The Israel Prison Service's decisions on this matter are reasonable and to the point." (Vered Luvitch)
