Israeli textiles to get priority over foreign manufacturers in tenders
Security organizations will give priority to Israeli factories in tenders for textile products, following a compromise agreement between textile manufacturers and the Ministries of Finance, Defense and Interior.
According to the agreement, priority will be granted to "blue and white" producers even if their bids are up to 50% more expensive than the lowest bids of foreign manufacturers. The agreement will be valid for two years, and will be presented to the Knesset for voting when it reconvenes for the winter session. (Yair Hasson)
