EU offers Libya aid to stop illegal migration
The European Commission offered Libya up to $70 million in aid to stop the flow of illegal migrants to Europe and protect refugees, the European Union executive said Tuesday.
The funding is far below Libya's appeal for five billion euros to combat illegal migration, an amount Foreign Minister Moussa Koussa reiterated to European officials visiting Libya. (AFP)
