American, 2 Japanese share 2010 chemistry Nobel

An American and two Japanese scientists won the 2010 Nobel Prize for chemistry for developing a tool that could allow chemicals as complex as those found in nature to be created, the prize committee said on Wednesday.

 

Richard Heck, Ei-ichi Negishi and Akira Suzuki shared the prize, the Nobel Committee for Chemistry at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences said in a statement. (Reuters)
