Syria marks 37 years since Yom Kippur War

Syrian President Bashar Assad laid a wreath at the Tomb for the Unknown Soldier on the anniversary of the Yom Kippur War. Outgoing General Naif al-Akal, who was among the Syrian soldiers who fought on Mount Hermon in the Golan Heights, said to the SANA news agency that the war destroyed the myth of the IDF being invincible.
