Eitan: Israeli Arabs need not fear amendment to citizenship law

Minister Michael Eitan (Likud) responded to Arab MKs who spoke against a proposed amendment to the citizenship law, saying, "Israeli Arabs do not need to fear a Jewish and democratic state… The State of Israel needs a constitution that will determine the Jewish characteristics of the state and preserve the rights of the Arab minority."
