Palestinians: Man injured by rubber bullet

West Bank protests turn violent as Palestinians throw stones, security forces fire rubber bullets

Palestinian sources reported Friday that clashes between protestors and security forces in the West Bank village of Nabi Saleh had left one man wounded.

The man was reportedly shot in the chest with a rubber bullet after which he bled from the mouth, and his current state is unknown.

The IDF denied reports saying it had used live fire to keep protestors at bay, and police forces confirmed that only rubber bullets had been used.

Sources added that three additional protestors were lightly wounded during the clashes and have subsequently been hospitalized.

Altogether some 100 residents of Palestinian villages took part in this week's protests, which included throwing stones at security forces. Around 70 were present in Nabi Saleh.

In the villages of Naalin and Bil'in, some 60 Palestinians and Israeli left-wing activists protested the separation fence, also throwing stones at soldiers and police stationed there.
