Gaza teen caught after infiltrating Israel

IDF combs border community after suspicious footprints found near greenhouses; 14-year-old Palestinian apprehended an hour later

IDF forces combed an Israeli community located near the border with Gaza Saturday afternoon after suspicions footprints were discovered there.

Residents were asked to remain indoors while soldiers searched the area with the help of illuminating bombs. The footprints were found near the community's greenhouses, which are located along the security fence.

An hour later a 14-year-old Palestinian boy who infiltrated Israel was apprehended.

About three months ago the IDF feared that Palestinians had infiltrated Israel following exchanges of fire near Kibbutz Nirim, during which two terrorists were killed.

The past few days have seen a number of IDF aerial strikes in Gaza in response to the firing of Qassam rockets on the western Negev.
