LDS leader's speech on gays modified on website

None

A senior Mormon church leader has modified portions of his general conference speech for the church's online publication after it prompted outcry from gay rights activists.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports the move makes Boyd K. Packer's Oct. 3 speech more closely reflect the faith's view that the cause of same-sex attraction is unknown and that the only sin is acting on those desires. (AP)
