Barak: I'll vote for Citizenship Law only with proposed change

Defense Minister Ehud Barak declared at the opening of the government session he would vote in favor of the Citizenship Law amendment only if it included his changes. Barak surprised many last week when he agreed to the amendment proposed by Avigdor Lieberman with just one change: "In the spirit of the Declaration of Independence."
"Obviously this will not be the final word on loyalty and citizenship, but it's an important step," Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said. (Ronen Medzini)
