French FM: Entire world waiting for renewed negotiations
French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner and his Spanish counterpart Miguel Moratinos met with Defense Minister Ehud Barak in their efforts to facilitate the peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians. Barak said, "I hope we'll get over the difficulties and that the direct talks will be renewed."
Kouchner said that all sides are in favor of a Palestinian state, and that while there may be difficulties, "the entire world is waiting for us to overcome them." He added that this was an historic moment. (Attila Somfalvi)
