Report: Israel considering importing tomatoes from Turkey

Due to this year's shortage in tomatoes and the dramatic increase in their prices, Israel is examining ways to import tomatoes from Turkey, a Turkish newspaper reported on Monday.
Last week, Agriculture Minister Shalom Simhon instructed his office and the Tax Authority to immediately cancel the tariff on tomato imports, in an effort to expedite the import of 2,000 tons of tomatoes. (Ynet)
