Spanish FM: Europe's vital role prompted Lieberman's comments

Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Moratinos said that the European countries' vital role was what prompted Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman's remarks that European officials should resolve their own issues before attempting to solve the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians.
"If we had no influence, maybe our friend Lieberman would have not reacted in such a way," Moratinos said during a meeting in Amman with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Jordan's King Abduallah. (AFP)
