EU responds to Lieberman's criticism

The EU on Monday reaffirmed its "strong interest" and its willingness to be actively engaged in the peace process in the Middle East in response to criticism by Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman on Europe's role in the process.
"We are actively engaged, and we have a strong interest in the current peace process in the Middle East," said a spokesman for the High Representative for EU Foreign Affairs, Maja Kocijancik. On Sunday Lieberman advised Europeans to settle their own problems before "coming here and telling us how to solve our conflict". (AFP)
