Erdogan: Israel must apologize, compensate for flotilla deaths

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, "Israel must issue an official apology for its operation against the Marmara vessel in international waters. It must compensate the families of the victims who were executed by short-range fire."
Erdogan spoke at a joint press conference with Syrian President Bashar Assad, who addressed Israel's amendment to the Citizenship Act. Assad said the amendment "expresses Israeli fascism, which finds an outlet in killing and laws of this kind". (Roee Nahmias)
