Aharonovitch: Increase in stone throwing in Silwan, Issawiya

Minister of Internal Security Yitzhak Aharonovitch (Yisrael Beitenu) toured Issawiya and Silwan in the Jerusalem area and noted the increase in cases of stones being thrown.
"Operations in this area are complex because Jews and Arabs both live in the neighborhoods and this causes a lot of tension," he said. "We will stop this stone-throwing… and bring peace to Silwan and Issawiya. I call on Jews and Arabs to maintain calm and refrain from clashes. It (the clashes) does nothing for the security of Jerusalem residents." (Yair Altman)
