Barak warns defense budget cuts undermine security operations

Defense Minister Ehud Barak criticized the reduction in the defense budget, warning it may hurt stocks of equipment, parts and operations. During at speech the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor's social-economic conference, Barak said the defense budget was 35% of the general budget and has been reduced to just 12% in recent years.
"During the second Lebanon war we saw what happens when certain defense aspects are damaged," he said. (Tami Goldstein)
