Clinton: US opposes attempt to disrupt stability in Lebanon

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton commented on Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's visit to Lebanon Wednesday and said that Washington opposes any attempt to disrupt stability or aggravate tension in Lebanon.
In a speech in Beirut Ahmadinejad said Wednesday that Iran will stand by Lebanon as it continues to resist the "Zionist occupation." (AFP)
