US Embassy employee in Iraq charged with embezzling

A Jordanian citizen who was working for the State Department at the US Embassy in Baghdad has been charged with stealing more than $237,000 in US government funds.
Thirty-six-year-old Osama Esam Saleem Ayesh was arrested in August. He had been a shipping and customs supervisor at the embassy when investigators received a tip from an Iraqi businessman that Ayesh had been embezzling funds. (AP)
