Report: German mediator in Shalit deal visited Gaza
Hamas' Deputy Politburo Chief Moussa Abu Marzouk told the London-based Al Hayat newspaper that the German mediator in the Gilad Shalit swap deal visited Gaza two weeks ago and met with Hamas senior officials after holding meetings in Israel.
Abu Marzouk did not specify what Gerhard Konrad offered the Islamist group but stressed that Hamas' stance had not changed and that negotiations with Israel were still stagnant. A Hamas source in Gaza refused to confirm or deny the details of Konrad's visit. (Ali Waked)
