France 'deeply disappointed' by settlement building
France is "deeply disappointed" by the Israeli government's reviving of settlements in Jerusalem and calls on Israel to reconsider this decision, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Saturday.
A bid for the construction of 240 housing units in the neighborhoods of Pisgat Ze'ev and Ramot, located beyond the Green Line, was issued Friday. The United States expressed its disappointment with the move as well, saying it contradicts efforts to revive peace talks. (AFP)
