Tibi: Loyalty oath bill forces identity upon Jews, Arabs alike

Knesset Member Ahmad Tibi (United Arab List-Ta'al) commented on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's instruction to change the loyalty oath bill to apply for Jews as well and said, "the idea is bad to begin with."
Tibi further added, "It has no place in this or Lieberman's version as there is no reason to compete with his fascism. Forcing an identity on Arabs and Jews alike is completely redundant." According to the MK, the initiative "is an attempt to force an ideology which Jews and Arabs must object to." (Sharon Roffe-Ofir)
