Gov't officials trying to obtain ministers' consent to oath change

Cabinet Secretary Zvi Hauser, Justice Minister Yaakov Ne'eman and Coalition Chairman MK Zeev Elkin are discussing the proposed change to the loyalty oath bill whereby Jewish immigrants will also be required to pledge allegiance to "a Jewish and democratic state."
The meeting is aimed at working out a way to get the haredi ministers' consent and that of Information and Diaspora Minister Yuli Edelstein, who oppose the step. (Attila Somfalvi)
