Anti-Islam lawmaker asks for hate speech acquittal

The lawyer for Dutch anti-Islam politician Geert Wilders says the lawmaker has a right to freedom of speech and should be acquitted of all hate speech charges.
Lawyer Bram Moszkowicz compared Wilders in closing arguments Tuesday to various historical figures who were willing to voice unpopular opinions including former British Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill and astronomer Galileo. (AP)
