Report: German mediator meets jailed Hamas commander

The London-based al-Hayat has reported that the German mediator in the Shalit prisoner-swap deal met last month with a Hamas commander jailed in Israel, Sheikh Hassan Yousef.
A Hamas source told the paper that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had asked the mediator to return to the region, but that so far no progress has been made in the deal. (Ali Waked and Roee Nahmias)
