MK Shai: Give yeshiva student grants to university students too

Knesset Member Nachman Shai (Kadima) says he will prepare a bill similar to that proposed by MK Moshe Gafni (United Torah Judaism) regarding yeshiva students, proposing to award grants to university students as well.
Gafni suggested it is the right of students who consider the Torah their profession to receive grants. Shai says his intention is to present a similar bill to calling to add the university students to that of the ultra-Orthodox Jew students already written in Gafni's bill. (Roni Sofer)
