PA says uncovered Hamas arms cache
Security organizations locate large weapon warehouse in Ramallah, estimate arms were intended for attacks against Palestinian Authority and Israel

The Palestinian Authority security organizations' spokesman Adnan Damiri said Friday morning that his men have uncovered a huge Hamas weapon warehouse in Ramallah. Many shells and arms where found on site.

Damiri said the weapons were intended for terrorist attacks against the PA, its leaders and officials, as well as against Israeli targets, in order to hinder peace negotiations.

Over the summer, Egyptian security forces uncovered many arms caches in the Sinai peninsula. A month ago they located 11 weapon, arms and explosives caches, during a wide-scale operation alongside their border with Gaza.

Egyptian security officers found many kinds of weapons, including anti-aircraft missiles and half a ton of TNT explosives in the Rafah region and in near by villages and cemeteries.

A week before that, the Egyptians discovered five weapon caches of arms and explosives, which were suppose to reach Gaza via tunnels.

According to the report, 110 anti-aircraft missiles were uncovered in a cache located at the heart of Sinai. In another cache, close to Rafah, 100 kilos of explosives were found, as well as 100 more anti-aircraft missiles and 90 anti-aircraft rockets in satellite cities.
