Jailed Hamas official denies meeting German mediator on Shalit deal

Hamas' Sheikh Hassan Yusuf, who is in prison, denied Friday reports that he met the German mediator brokering the Gilad Shalit deal.
The unusual statement was quoted by the London-based Arabic-language newspaper al-Hayat, adding that is was a fabrication meant to create confusion about the deal. (Ali Waked)
