IDF Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi said that the commandos who raided the Marmara ship last May operated in a proportional manner and did not hurt those "who did not need to be hurt."
"The investigation reaffirmed the conclusions, illustrated the violent planning and our measured response. Soldiers did not open fire immediately, even took on a great level of risk," Asheknazi said.
