Bill proposal: Student grants from time first child is born

MK Yoel Hasson (Kadima) announced he would submit a bill proposal for the granting of assistance to students, according to which students in need who study in higher education institutions and have no income, vehicle or apartment will receive a maintenance grant from the State from the time their first child is born.
"We can't play games and say we'll pay from the third child, because I don't know any students like that," he said. "Students carry the full burden – reserve military duty, studies, work and taxes, and if the State assists anyone, it should be them." (Roni Sofer)
