British deputy PM: Investigate Iraq leak claims

Britain's deputy prime minister says allegations of prisoner abuse and civilian killings contained in a cache of leaked military documents are extremely serious and must be investigated.
Nick Clegg told BBC television on Sunday that the accounts of violence in Iraq "are distressing to read about and they are very serious." Clegg said it was not for Britain to tell the US how to respond, but that any allegations of abuse by British troops "need to be looked at."
