Livni on flotilla raid: Turkey acted in political vacuum

Opposition chairwoman Tzipi Livni testified before the Turkel committee Monday. "Turkey took advantage of political vacuum, with the provocative aim of creating legitimacy for Hamas," she said. "Turkish interest was not to get aid to Gaza – that option was offered – but this was a political act opposing international decisions."
Livni added that she believed the international community made a mistake by allowing Hamas to run in an election. (Dor Glick)
