Uzi Dayan defends soldiers who endangered Palestinian boy

Dozens of friends and family members have gathered at the Southern Command's military court in order to encourage two Givati soldiers convicted of endangering a Palestinian boy during Operation Cast Lead at their sentencing hearing.
Major-General (Res) Uzi Dayan, who heads the National Security Council, testified at the hearing and said, "I have come here to support combat soldiers and stress that they are not criminals. So far 600 soldiers have been investigated by the military police, and this needs to be stopped." (Tova Dadon)
