Blast near oil pipeline leak kills 15 in Myanmar

Oil skimmed by villagers from a leaky pipeline exploded in central Myanmar, and at least 15 people were killed and dozens injured in the blaze, an official and local residents said Monday.
A villager struck a match to see how much oil villagers had collected in drums near the leaking pipeline Sunday evening, causing an explosion, according to residents contacted by phone who spoke on condition of anonymity for fear of angering authorities in the tightly controlled country. (AP)
