PM: Greece still in emergency, efforts must continue

Greece is still in an emergency and must not let up efforts to cut deficits and exit a debt crisis, Prime Minister George Papandreou said on Monday.

With opinion polls showing his party's popularity declining before municipal elections on November 7, Papandreou asked Greeks to support his socialist government's efforts to tackle the crisis that has shaken the euro. (Reuters)
