Roof collapse kills 60 people at Afghan wedding

About 60 people were killed when a roof collapsed on a wedding party in Afghanistan's northern Baghlan province on Wednesday, a senior Afghan Red Crescent official said.
Dr Hamid Niazi, the head of the Afghan Red Crescent, said at least 40 people were wounded and that many of the victims were women and children. Munshi Abdul Majid, the governor of Baghlan, said at least 40 people were killed. (Reuters)
