Netanyahu to appoint MK Erdan as UN ambassador

According to senior Likud officials, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to appoint MK Gilad Erdan as Israel's ambassador to the United Nations.
Prime Minister Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman have agreed to appoint Erdan, who is in his first term as the Environmental Protection Minister. Erdan is not yet certain if he will accept the role. (Attila Somfalvi)
