Assad: No sign of progress in peace process
Syrian President Bashar Assad said there was no indication of any progress in the Mideast peace process, the SANA news agency reported.
During talks with US Senator Arlen Specter, Assad said Syria appreciates US President Barack Obama's to advance peace in the region, but claimed there are no indications for achieving a tangible progress in light of the "presence of an Israeli government which doesn't want peace and doesn't believe in it."
