Russia to Iraq: Aziz execution will worsen situation
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov warned that executing Tariq Aziz, who served as an aide to the late dictator Sadam Hussein, "will worsen the situation in Iraq."
In a press conference hosted by Poland, Lavrov said that "the move will not get international support," and repeated Russia's request to not carry out the execution considering Aziz's age and the state of his health. (AFP)
