Abbas: We'll work towards unilateral declaration of statehood within months

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said he was surprised by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's warning against "unilateral actions by the Palestinian Authority."
Following a meeting with Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Abbas told reporters in Ramallah, "We will turn to the Security Council in order for it to declare our independence within a few months." (Ali Waked)
