Noted Israeli archaeologist passes away
Professor Ehud Netzer, one of Israel's most noted archeologists has passed away at the Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem on Thursday. Netzer was hospitalized in critical condition after a fall at the Herodian dig earlier this week.
The professor's family has requested to donate his organs. "He signed his organ donor card. Since he sustained his injuries the hospital made every effort to extend his life artificially in order to examine the viability of donating his organs", family member Motti Ashkenazi told Ynet. His funeral will take place on Friday. (Dor Glick)
