Clinton urges Vietnam to improve human rights

US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton has urged Vietnam to clean up its human rights record following a spate of dissident arrests.

Clinton prodded her Vietnamese counterpart Pham Gia Khiem to stop jailing people for their political or religious beliefs during talks Saturday on the sidelines of an Asian summit in Hanoi. (AP)
